As a resident of Wauwatosa for over 40 years, I have watched in admiration as our community has evolved into a world class destination and place to live, work and play. I recall the days when the Village was a place to ignore, our County pool leaked, and Burleigh Street was occupied by unappealing warehouses. Today, the City of Wauwatosa has never been better and its future even brighter, as evidenced by chart topping satisfaction ratings, impressive home values, fiscally strong AAA bond ratings, exciting new, locally owned businesses and neighborhoods beaming with pride of ownership.
None of this happens by accident. It happens with the experience, expertise, and leadership of people like Mayor Dennis McBride, whom I am proud to endorse for a second term, to lead our community to even greater heights and to continue to make Wauwatosa a destination that is welcome to all.
- Dennis is uniquely qualified to lead our city, having grown up here, raising his family in our exceptional public schools, and having his hand guiding almost every significant initiative over the past 30 years, including the Village redevelopment, Tosa Pool and The Landing and the Mayfair Collection on Burleigh. No one loves his hometown more than Dennis McBride.
- Dennis’s expertise has no peers, critically important in the role of Mayor. He’s a skilled attorney, public relations and communications expert, financial guru, visionary and most important, implementer. Simply put, Dennis gets things done that prepare our community for the future.
